Drove by gas station that I was planning on stopping at like an idiot. Thankfully made it to next station fine. For those of you not sure if you should keep on going or turn around and go back to the last fuel station... I hope this helps. Useful information for next person: 1. Fuel light didn't come on until needle was on E. Not above E but pretty much on E. 2. Drove an additional 9 miles going as slow as I could safely on freeway. 50-55 MPH. Gas gauge never got BELOW E. 3. Had gas attendant fill my tank. It fit 17.9 gallons. Manuel says gas tank is 20 gallons. MPG on this years model is 17 mpg in city and 25 on Hwy. So I calculated I had roughly 50 plus highway miles left to go before my vehicle died. But I certainly wouldn't want to test this....

Hope this helps someone know

That 2 gallon reserve is there to keep your pump COOL. If u overheat it, you'll shorten its life. Inyour case, you didnt damage the pump, so thanks for sharing. What to look out for in thses vehicles are the head gaskets. Ive had various dodge, plymouth, chrysler cars n vans in the early 80s to early 2000s... had a few blow the head gaskets
