Jetta TDI

My wife researched all the cars before deciding the Jetta TDI was the most fuel efficient. She averages 45 miles to a gallon. The most distance she has gone after the light turns on is 76 miles. She routinely drives 50 miles after the light comes on. We think the light comes on when there is just below 2 gallons so probably she could approach 90 miles after the light.

The owner's manual clearly says that you have 1.9 gallons left in the tank when the light comes on. October 21, 2008 by Liviu Light comes on you, have 7 litres left in a TDI diesel which gets you in the city cca 100 km to go before start pushing. Best car ever owned.
