No Light!

January 24, 2013 about Chevrolet Blazer

I'm not the only one. My '96 Blazer does NOT have a low fuel light. Some do and some don't. I've ran it out of gas twice (both when i first bought it). It's a typical GM truck in that once the guage drops into the red, you're SOL in about 10-15 miles.

I usually get 280 or so to a tank.

Don't bank on the light that might not exist!

Ive ran out of gas over 350 times traveling with the Blazer in my younger days as a mechanic using the same pump to this day, however did have to change the fuel injector spider a couple times from the local junkyard at $4 eachtime in the pocket, now as a Master Technician. I baby my blazer and haven't run out of gas in years. There were times where when low on fuel I would park in the slightly slanted driveway. Come time in the morning to drop my date home, truck wouldn't start(low gas) so I had put the car in nuetral and rolled into the street which was level. After a few seconds on level ground the truck fired up! Moving the truck down the driveway had sloshed gas around the tank and into the fuel bowl. Date was sure impressed ;)
