1998 Ford Ranger

January 30, 2013 about Ford Ranger

I've had my Ford Ranger XLT for 15 years and 125,000 miles with virtually no problems. It's got the standard 4-cylinder engine with 5-speed manual transmission and extended cab. Gets decent mileage for a pickup, about 20-21 mpg in town and 25 mpg on the highway. Too bad that Ford quit making them. My previous vehicle was a Toyota pickup and it had some serious problems, including a blown head gasket at 70,000 miles.

Mine is total junk at 136k miles. Same 4cyl 5spd 98 superb xlt. Absolute garbage. They're supposed to be good. Not this one. I miss my import.
