6Th Generation Celica'S Silly Fuel Light

I drive a '97 Celica ST with a small 1.8L engine. The low fuel light goes on when I have four gallons left in the 16-gallon tank. Given that I get 39 mpg most of the time, I can drive around 150 miles before I have to fill up. I don't usually run it down that far because, well, the low fuel light is so bright it bothers me when I'm driving at night, and being a college student, that's often when I'm driving.
Oh well.
