2000 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport 3.8L

February 9, 2009 about Dodge Grand Caravan

Today we decided to see how far or new (well new to us!) 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport 3.8L would go after both our fuel light and D.T.E. Computer read zero. We drove approximately 60 km after and we went (40km at least according to the computer) as of so far avg. 8-11 l/100km on the trip (highway) and we were able to come back to town from another town that is 60km (there and back map distance) away without the engine even hesitating or giving the slightest indication of low fuel. Engine has over 250,000 km and we have had no chance to perform any maintenance of any kind since purchase.( only O.B.D. Check and general safety) I am blown away by the performance the engine cruised at 110km/hr (about 60 MPH) never exceeding 2000rmp.

Nothing but good things to say about my new baby.

Note: Fuel Gage is accurate unlike other post.
