2000 S500 Gas Light
The 2000 S-Class has a unique feature where the "empty" light turns yellow and the fuel gauge starts dropping down past the "empty" mark into a yellow area. The trip computer at that point shows about 60 miles left.
What's interesting is that you would think that if you got all the way to the bottom of the yellow area you'd be in trouble, but it actually looks like there's about a gallon still left after the trip computer starts flashing "0 miles" and the needle is pointed all the way down.
I can document that you have at least 10 miles from that point before you are really in trouble.

That's a given... German cars tend to do that since stalling from lack of fuel on the autobahn is illegal. If you read your manual you should have about 2 gallons left in the tank once the computer says 0 miles and the needle hits the end.
