70 Miles After On Empty

December 15, 2007 about Chevrolet Cobalt

I couldnt believe it! I didnt do it intentionally, howver i actually dove 70 miles before i stopped for gas. I was only able to put on 12 gallons for a what i believe is a 15 gallon tank. Soooooo i guess i could have driven another 75 miles. Thanks for this site. It is something i have always wondered about!

At 34.6 M.P.G in mine, 70 is just over 2 gal. after light so it could be. Dont wish to try it

I believe it my cobalt can go forever on empty. and it said on the paper when i got the car that after the gas light comes on you still have 2 gallons and i get 33 MPG in mine 33+33=66. yes, yes it does.
