70 Miles...Possibly 90 Miles...Math Included
The 2011 Jetta S has a fuel tank with a capacity of 14.5 gallons. Today I drove 25 miles with the empty light on. Thinking not to push the limit I drove into a gas station and filled up with 12.6 gallons. This means after driving 25 miles, I still had 1.9 gallons of fuel remaining in my tank.
Car and Driver Magazine indicates the Jetta gets 24/34mpg.
A rough calculation of 1.9*(24 or 34)+25 yields 70.6 with my 25 miles and city driving or 89.6 if on the highway.
