Every time the gas light has come on in my 2005 Altima I look to see what the computer says my dte miles are. DTE (distance to empty) has always been around 23-28 miles. I've never tested this but the dte always changed depending on my speed and if I'm driving on highway or city streets. Based on this I think the dte miles are fairly accurate. At least I hope.....
