Bashful Fuel Light
May 8, 2008 about Acura Legend
I have a 93 Legend and for awhile I thought the low fuel light was broken. Only when I ran the tank nearly dry of its 17-something gallon capacity did it come on, so now I don't sweat like rats humping in a wool sock when the gauge gets near E.
However, I have a right uphill cloverleaf exit on the way home from work, and when the tank is especially low the engine has shut down when the remaining gas sloshes to the left side of the tank at the apex of the curve. I plan to install a gyroscope and accelerometer to overcome this problem when I don't fill up.
