Beltway Driving
I commute 50 miles a day one way and mostly interstate driving,I feel more comfortable pushing my Jetta. My golden rule of thumb was 30 miles and then one day I tried 40. I have never ran out of gas and I will proably not push it any further than that.

I just got the 2011 VW Jetta TDI Sportswagen and it is a great car. I got the leather iioerntr which looks really sweet. I'm also a big fan of the TDI clean diesel technology. I am averaging 41 mpg on the highway! The TDI is a little heavier than the non-TDI but I found that it is a little slippery driving in the snow. Of course this may have been since we had that huge blizzard two weeks ago in NJ, but otherwise it is a fantastic car. My only complaint is the rear window wiper/washer fluid package, which doesn't work for sh^t. Otherwise, a great car.

About "It's not a good thing, it's just the reality of the situation. "Yes, and somehow not sure that something else can be set up (in the sense getting out of maximising profit, maximising production, etc ..), so that only &qcuo;oonstraints&qutt;, can be added to the systems, and these constraints should probably primarily be put on creating artificial price differenceq (or added price pressure) on newly extracted raw materials or fuels (through taxes), thereby favorizing recylcing, and more efficient and longer lasting products.
