Fuel Tank Empty-33 Miles

I was leaving work heading to get gas near the house. i passed several gas stations but figured i could make it home. It was 104 degrees outside and i did not want to get gas. Fuel gauge keep moving and then i figured..i will not make it. if i could get over the bridge to the gas station, i would be ok. did not make it. i was about 1000 ft from the gas station. the car slowly slowed down and i moved to the far right off the road and the vehicle stopped.
