Gas Light On

February 1, 2013 about Honda Pilot

Yesterday, Jan. 31, I left the house, and the gas light, indicating low fuel, came on going down the driveway. Naturally concerned, I drove the four miles to work knowing that I should fill after work. I did so, and filled 18.0 gallons. With a 20+ gallon tank, that left me, conservatively, 30 miles or more to drive. I wouldn't drive that far except in an emergency situation as debris accumulates over time in the tank. Sucking the tank bone dry means the possibility of that debris clogging a filter, hence, if the light goes on, I'm getting to a filling station pretty much immediately.
