Newer MB vehicles display "Reserve Fuel" rather than "Empty" when the dash light goes on, so you still have 25+ miles left--BUT the 'miles to go' readout is VERY accurate and varies greatly between hwy and city driving. I've owned both C Class and CLK models and if the display states "2 miles" left before you're out of gas, do not attempt to go 3 miles unless you have the TeleAid system paid thru the year and have time to wait for MB roadside assistance.
