I have a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am Gt and Im always the one to wait till the last minute to get gas. I was a few towns away from home at a friends house and as soon as I got on the highway my empty light came on, I still drove it all the way to my exit which was a good 20 miles away if not more. Maybe I just lucked out but I never did run out of gas.
