In Kentucky Most People Must Drive Horses

May 7, 2008 about Mazda MAZDA6

Drove Mazdaspeed 6 on a single tank of gas from Greenville, South Carolina through Lexington Kentucky. I was pleased to make it past Lexington before my fuel light came on, but I was a little apprehensive to find that there aren't many stations near the interstate between Lexington and Louisville Kentucky. My GPS offered several choices, but each station is located miles from the interstate. Because I wanted to make my trip to Iowa in a single day, I couldn't afford to lose too much time on state highways looking for fuel.

After nearly fifty miles driving under the speed limit with the air off I finally found a station near the interstate. The car never sputtered and I had more than a half gallon of fuel left. I'm curious to know how much of that last half gallon is accessible to the fuel pickup. Lucky.
