It Runs On Fumes

I had left a small city in Norther Michigan, and journeyed into a remote area on the way back to my cottage. About a half hour out, with a 45 minutes to go, I glanced down at the speedometer. Next to it, in the same window is the gas gauge. The only thing I don't like about my Vibe is that there is no warning bell, just an insipid yellow light, when the gas gets low, as it was right then. Didn't matter at that point whether I turned around or went straight ahead. I pushed forward. 45 miles later I pulled into a gas station, and, upon filling up, realized I still had 3 gallons in the tank. Yep...keeping that car around for a while.
