Light Doesn'T Match Trip Computer.

I've got the Nav system in my '05 and when the light comes on, I punch the INFO button, then TRIP INFO on the screen. Usualy says 11-15 miles. I've run it down to 0, but get pretty nervous. When I fill, it ususally takes 16 gallons (I think the fuel capacity is 17 or 18)
