I have a navigation system, and I'm trying to figure out how far I can go while the "distance till empty" level reads "****" (which means 0). Any takers on THAT info?

I don't think it means "O" exactly. I think it means close enough to O that you are on your own. If you notice, that symbol comes up at about >20.

basically it means that it can't calculate the amount of fuel in the tank. Thus it can't do the calculation. When you divide by 0 you get 0. Everything electronic in the car is based on a mathematical equation.
