Stuck On The Highway Again

Not much of a story, but I have run out of gas 3 times because in about 5 miles after the low fuel light turns on, the vehicle is empty. I may have stretched it to 10 miles once, but I can't believe I went that far. My husband did not believe me until he was in the car, with me, the third time it happened. I would have found a gas station earlier, but he insisted I had more miles left. He walked 2 miles to get a gas can at home (out in the country). The funny part is that a Good Samaritan showed up with two gallons of gas. I got home a few minutes after he did.
