Went Synthetic

July 1, 2007 about Hyundai Accent

My 2002 Accent just hit 90,000 miles so I decided to change to synthetic oil to give it a little more life. I've also started driving a little more conservative (65-75 highway unstead of 75-85) and I've seen an increase from about 31mpg to up to 38mpg... I was amazed when I hit 380 miles on 1 tank and the gas light was only on for about the last 20.

Nice. My 2000 Accent has hit 400 on a tank of gas. I love that little car more than I should. She is at 170,000+ miles and still going strong.

I have noticed increased mpg with our 2008 Hyundai Accent as well! Couldn't tell you the exact amount of increase but it is a noticeable difference. We bought it last year from a lot with 85k miles on it, from all evidence the previous owners did not take care of it at all, we have had fuel system and engine cleaning done and it runs great, switched to synthetic at 92k and even better. We love ours too even with the no A/C and funky lime green color we call it the Jelly Bean ????
