What'S Wrong??

November 3, 2009 about Honda Odyssey

The first time my 2007 Honda Odyssey's (LE? one level above plain vanilla)fuel light came on, it wasn't convenient to fill up so I called my Honda service dept. and asked how many miles I should still be able to travel. They said about 60 miles.

So my rule of thumb is that I should be able to go another 50 miles before filling up, and that has worked for nearly three years, tank after tank after tank. There's always room for another couple gallons when I do. UNTIL....

I recently ran out of gas 15 feet away from the gas pump after only 30 miles past the fuel light coming on!!! With no difference in my driving during that tank of gas. Really shook my confidence.

Could there be a repair problem brewing?

I'll be much more cautious in the future.

Of course there is a repair problem brewing, with your fuel pump because you constantly run the tank dry. Damaging the fuel pump. -Read the other threads

You should really go by the trip mileage instead of the fuel light.

Thank You for this video. I used it to install a USA Spec iPod kit for my wife's 2005 Odyssey. Your irsuntctions were spot on,? and made the install a breeze. For 5 years she has been driving around with amplified computer speakers hooked up to her Sirius. And now she can play music off of her iPhone. Awesome!!!
