2008 Civic Lx
First I drive a 2008 Civic lx, I'm always trying to figure out this digital self evaluating ( based on driving condition) fuel guage that honda has placed since I been driving this car for 60k miles. I know the tank size is 13.2 Gal, I always drive about 25-35 miles after all bars are gone and when I fill up, I only max at 10.8-11 gallons which means I still had 2 gallons left. So I'm pretty sure that after zero bars you have 3 gallons left and can easily go 75 miles before trying to find a gas station.

Thank you, I am about to find out cause all my bars are gone, the gas light is on and I have to go to work, and no cash at hand right now....hope your right...:)
'07 civic here. the manual says the tank holds 50 liters, every time I fill-up when the light has just turned on it fills to 41-42 liters so the reserve is a little more than 2 gallons.
if everyone drove an Asian car and drove old Asian cars and had clubs and local raicng or get to-gethers united by the similar interest in a certain piece of tin. Also, the condition of the vehicle matters. The vehicle is likely a rusted out piece of metal, been rolled a few times and such stuff. And how much mechanical work does it need.? I knew a chick who had one of these about that year that in one trip she blew the engine and transmission in one go. Now it is a metal shell "Basically "Turf City" My brother had one and he rolled it going around a corner too quick. Thinking that front wheel drive was the cats meow and this could never happen. He woke up. Old VW Beetles could make that corner faster than the Honda because they will slide out first. So if they pay you to tow it away, then take it

Stingray / Hi, The problem is going to be with the inusrance company.Your rate is high for a reason, and that is young drivers tend to have more accidents than others, and that is why the rate is high. If you want to do it by misleading the inusrance company and there is an accident and you are at fault, there is a strong possibility you will have no coverage when they find out. My suggestion would be to have the car registered in your dads name, and he could insure it cheaper and you would be covered. When you get to the age where your rate is reasonable, you can have the title transferred into your name for the sum of 1 dollar. Enjoy your new car and drive safely, Darryl S.
